Chihuahua announces Expo Emprende 2026 and municipal youth award contest

The state of Chihuahua will host the two‑day Expo Emprende 2026 on August 14‑15, aiming to attract more than 4,000 entrepreneurs, business owners and students. The event will feature conferences, workshops and networking sessions, with a free talk by noted entrepreneur and content creator Oso Trava, and seeks to strengthen the region’s innovation and business ecosystem.

Municipal syndicate Olivia Franco has opened the call for the "Agustín Melgar" 2026 Youth Award, inviting young people aged 12‑29 to submit nominations by June 26. The award recognizes achievements in academics, production, arts, civic service and ecology, offering a diploma and a cash prize of 35,193 pesos, with winners to be honored at a city council ceremony on August 21.
