Chihuahua authorities investigate robbery and police misconduct allegations

In Chihuahua, authorities are investigating two separate incidents involving criminal activity and allegations of misconduct.

Three individuals—Arleth Sarahí G. L., Julio César G. L., and Alberto Emanuel P. S.—were detained following a violent robbery. A victim reported being threatened and robbed of 400,000 pesos in cash and identification by a man on foot, who then fled on a motorcycle. Following a coordinated effort involving the State Attorney General's Office and the Chihuahua Shield Platform, police located the suspects' vehicles and seized a handgun and marijuana. The suspects have been placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for investigation into robbery and health-related crimes.

Separately, a member of the Municipal Public Security Directorate’s Motorized Operations Group (GOM) has been accused of rape and breach of trust against a man who was reportedly in police custody. While the specific circumstances of the detention and the formal status of the complaint remain unconfirmed by official authorities, the allegations have raised questions regarding the conduct of the officer during the custody of the individual.
