Chihuahua begins beam installation for Palestina and Fuerza Aérea bridge

The Secretariat of Communications and Public Works (SCOP) has begun the installation of the first nine beams for the Palestina and Fuerza Aérea vehicular overpass. The maneuver, supervised by Secretary Jorge Chanez, involves placing AASHTO type IV precast concrete beams, each measuring 30.89 meters in length and weighing 45 tons.

The work is concentrated on Claro No. 1, located between axes 1 and 2. Due to the significant size and weight of the components, high-capacity cranes are being utilized for the lifting and mounting process.

Construction maneuvers are scheduled to continue from October 19 to October 20, during which Avenida Fuerza Aérea will remain closed to traffic. Authorities have advised motorists to use alternative routes and exercise caution in the area.
