Chihuahua officials report on infrastructure, social aid, and rural development

In Chihuahua, Mayor Marco Bonilla has launched the official dissemination of his Fifth Government Report. The report highlights achievements across four key areas: infrastructure, rural support, social programs, and security. Notable infrastructure projects include the allocation of over 350 million pesos for strategic overpasses and progress on the Teófilo Borunda avenue interchange. Socially, the administration reported benefiting over 421,000 students through school supplies and providing more than 77,000 scholarships between 2022 and 2026.

In the city of Chihuahua, the municipal government also inaugurated the Águeda Lozano Contemporary Art Museum in the historic center, following a 30-million-peso restoration of the Quinta Touché. Additionally, the administration recognized the first graduating class of the “Samuel Kalisch Valdez” International Community Leadership Diploma.

In Ciudad Juárez, Mayor Héctor Ortiz Orpinel conducted a working tour through rural communities, including Samalayuca and the Valle region. The tour focused on the “Cruzada por tu Familia” program, which provided food assistance to over 500 families across several settlements. The Mayor acknowledged existing neglect in rural areas while emphasizing the importance of community participation in local development projects, such as recent street paving in Samalayuca.
