Chihuahua City waives permit fees to boost Infonavit housing project

The municipal government of Chihuahua approved a 100 % waiver of municipal permit fees for the Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores (Infonavit). The stimulus, valued at about 1.745 million pesos, is intended to accelerate the first stage of the federal "Vivienda para el Bienestar" housing program.

The initial phase will deliver 108 apartments across six buildings, while the full plan envisions 838 units in 47 buildings built over five stages. Officials said the measure demonstrates municipal cooperation with state and federal authorities to increase affordable housing for local families.
