Chihuahua Congress seeks better public transport oversight in Ciudad Juárez

The Chihuahua State Congress has requested the State Government to strengthen the supervision of public transportation in Ciudad Juárez. Following an initiative by Deputy Magdalena Rentería, the request specifically targets the monitoring of feeder routes and emphasizes the need to address user complaints reported on social media.

Rentería noted that state authorities must ensure concessionaires provide proper service, rather than leaving oversight solely to the providers. This follows a report from the Secretary General of Government, Santiago De La Peña, indicating that only 56 percent of transport units meet the required age criteria for models.
