Chihuahua Dam quad bike accident kills young child

A young child died following a quad bike accident near the Chihuahua Dam in the Tres Presas Metropolitan Park corridor. The incident occurred on a dirt road when the driver lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve, causing the unit to overturn and fall into a rocky area.

The child was ejected from the vehicle and struck rocks. Emergency responders from the Red Cross and URGE arrived at the scene and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers for several minutes, but the child could not be revived. The child's father also sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Local highway police secured the area, and agents from the State Attorney General's Office arrived to conduct investigations and determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
