Chihuahua electoral staff undergo disability inclusion training
Staff at the State Electoral Institute (IEE) in Chihuahua participated in a sensitization program focused on disability, accessibility, and citizen participation. The training included practical exercises, such as using blindfolds and guide canes, to help employees recognize the physical and cultural barriers faced by visually impaired individuals when exercising their right to vote.
The initiative was led by the Municipal Government of Chihuahua through the Directorate of Human Development and Education. The goal is to improve electoral accessibility and ensure that people with disabilities can participate effectively in democratic processes.
