Chihuahua expands STEM education with new center in Madera 65
The Chihuahua Municipal Government is expanding its STEM education initiatives by planning a new STEM Center in the Madera 65 neighborhood. The project involves an investment of over 6 million pesos to renovate the Madera 65 Community Center, creating specialized areas for robotics, programming, and other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.
This expansion follows the success of the San Quintín Municipal STEM Center, which has been operational since March 2025. The San Quintín facility has already benefited 150 children and adolescents through workshops in basic, mobile, and collaborative robotics, as well as Python and Scratch programming. These programs aim to develop logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in young participants.
