Chihuahua forms animal health emergency group to combat cattle screwworm
The Chihuahua State Government has established the State Animal Health Emergency Group (GEESA) to manage the zoosanitary emergency caused by the cattle screwworm (GBG). The organization is designed to coordinate response efforts, improve surveillance, and implement prevention measures across the region.

Mario Guevara Acosta, president of GEESA, has initiated training sessions to ensure all participating entities utilize unified data and standardized protocols for tracking and investigating cases.
