Chihuahua Government and Business Foundation Team Up to Boost Education and Family Programs

The Chihuahua state government, represented by Secretary of Education and Sport Francisco Hugo Gutiérrez Dávila, met with the Fundación del Empresariado Chihuahuense (FECHAC) led by president Franghie Khalil and director David Almeida Zavala. The meeting brought together officials from the secretariats of Education, Health and Security, as well as the state prosecutor and the Human Rights Commission, to coordinate social initiatives.

Key points discussed included a joint strategy for suicide prevention involving education, health and public safety agencies, and the expansion of resources for children, adolescents and vulnerable families. FECHAC highlighted past contributions such as building a social assistance center for minors, rehabilitating the Hospital de la Mujer in Ciudad Juárez, establishing a radiotherapy center in the north zone, providing over 50 mobile classrooms and equipping hundreds of basic‑level schools across the state.

The collaboration aims to combine public and private capacities to strengthen education, health and community welfare throughout Chihuahua.
