Chihuahua Governor criticizes Morena over 'narcocandidato' threats

Chihuahua Governor María Eugenia Campos Galván has criticized Morena coordinator Cruz Pérez Cuéllar following his threat to take legal action against those who label him a ‘narcocandidato’. Campos stated that if the mayor pursues such legal measures, he will effectively be forced to sue the entire population to protect his reputation, arguing that his actions threaten freedom of expression.

Campos also expressed strong opposition to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN). She claimed the court’s decision eliminated the possibility of reviewing or removing candidates with proven links to organized crime. The Governor accused both the SCJN and local Morena deputies in Chihuahua of failing to protect the state and the integrity of upcoming elections.
