Chihuahua resident thwarts attempted execution of cyclist

An attempted execution in the Villa Juárez neighborhood of Chihuahua was thwarted by a resident's intervention. On a Tuesday night, two individuals on a motorcycle opened fire on a man riding a bicycle.

A man exiting a nearby residence intervened physically, managing to knock the attackers off their motorcycle and disarm them. The assailants subsequently fled the scene on foot. The intended victim was reported uninjured.

Local police secured the area, recovering a 9mm shell casing and two unused cartridges. Authorities have launched an investigation, including a review of surveillance cameras, to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the attack.
