Chihuahua Human Rights Commission launches corporate distinction program

The State Human Rights Commission of Chihuahua (CEDH) has launched its 2026 call for the “Empresa Comprometida con los Derechos Humanos” (Company Committed to Human Rights) distinction. The program is open to private sector organizations and companies with at least 10 employees that seek to certify their commitment to human dignity and labor rights.

Evaluations are based on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Criteria include the prevention and reparation of rights violations, safe and dignified working conditions, equality, non-discrimination, the absence of child labor, and environmental protection.

The process is free and involves an initial self-evaluation, followed by a verification visit to the company's facilities to review evidence. Successful applicants will receive a certificate and a statuette during a ceremony in early December. The distinction is valid for one year and can be revoked if compliance indicators are not met. Registration must be completed via the official platform by October 31, 2026.
