Chihuahua inaugurates new Engineering and Design Center

The Chihuahua State Government, through the Institute for Technological Development Support (Inadet), has inaugurated a new Engineering and Design Center at the High Technology Training Center (Cenaltec) in Chihuahua. The facility was established with support from the Institute of Innovation and Competitiveness (IIC) via the State Fund for Science, Technology, and Innovation (FECTI).

The center is equipped with 23 specialized workstations featuring advanced software such as Solidworks, CATIA V5, Mastercam, AutoCAD, NX Siemens, 3D Experience, and Edgecam. These tools are intended to support the automotive, aerospace, metalworking, technological, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The center will allow students, technicians, and professionals to digitally design, simulate, and validate products and processes before physical manufacturing. This capability aims to facilitate experimentation, error detection, and design optimization, strengthening the link between local talent and strategic industries.
