Chihuahua inaugurates Ronald McDonald Family Room at Children's Hospital

The Chihuahua State Government, through the Secretariat of Health, has inaugurated the Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Hospital Infantil de Especialidades in Chihuahua. This new facility is designed to provide rest, food, hygiene, and social spaces for parents and guardians of hospitalized children.

The room has the capacity to accommodate up to 40 families simultaneously. It is the seventh facility of its kind in Mexico and aims to reduce the economic and geographic barriers faced by families, particularly those traveling from distant municipalities or the Sierra Tarahumara region to access specialized medical services.

During the inauguration, Health Secretary Gilberto Baeza Mendoza emphasized that medical care includes empathy and accompaniment, noting that such spaces provide dignity to families during difficult times. The project is a collaborative effort between the state government and Casa Ronald McDonald México.
