Chihuahua launches new local novel and seeks entries for 2026 Book Fair
The municipal government of Chihuahua announced a public presentation of the novel “Entre Dos Tierras” by Luna Sophia Terra on 24 June at the Fundadores Municipal Library. The event is the first release in the 2025 Programa Editorial Chihuahua, a municipal initiative that supports local writers.
Separately, the state Secretariat of Culture issued a call for authors, workshop leaders and publishing groups to submit proposals for the 2026 Feria del Libro de Chihuahua, scheduled for 24 October‑1 November in the state capital. Applications, open until 8 July, must involve completed works slated for publication in 2025‑26 or cultural workshops meeting specified criteria.
Both actions aim to strengthen Chihuahua’s literary scene by promoting new works and expanding participation in the region’s flagship book fair.
