Chihuahua legislator alleges corruption in IMSS medicine procurement

During a session at the Chihuahua State Congress, PRI Deputy José Luis Villalobos García raised concerns regarding the management of the public health system and federal government decisions. Villalobos presented videos documenting protests by healthcare workers across various Mexican states, including Chihuahua, Nuevo León, and Mexico City.

These workers have reported shortages of medicines, insufficient medical supplies, and poor working conditions. Villalobos criticized the federal government for attributing these protests solely to the freedom of expression rather than addressing the underlying demands for necessary resources and improved labor conditions.

Additionally, the deputy presented a recording attributed to businessman Amílcar Olán, who is reportedly close to members of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s family, regarding alleged irregularities in medicine purchases.
