Chihuahua municipal government advances football field rehab to 60% completion

The municipal government of Chihuahua, through its Public Works Department, is upgrading the football field at the Instituto Tecnológico de Chihuahua. The project, selected via the 2026 Participatory Budget in District 15, has reached 60 percent of physical work, with synthetic turf now being installed.

The overhaul, costing more than 6 million pesos, includes earthworks, irrigation, and the new artificial grass, aiming to provide a safer and higher‑quality playing surface for students and community users. Mayor Marco Bonilla highlighted the initiative as part of his administration’s commitment to improve sports infrastructure and promote active lifestyles in the capital city.
