Chihuahua municipal government advances major road projects

The municipal administration of Chihuahua, Mexico, reported significant progress on three road‑infrastructure solutions aimed at easing traffic in key city sectors. Public Works Director Carlos Rivas said construction is underway on superstructures, ramp detailing, lane expansions on Avenida de las Industrias, and the installation of concrete posts, with overall physical completion now at about 70 percent. Work on the Gaza de Incorporación corridor, which will link Avenida Teófilo Borunda to the Juventud peripheral, is 27 percent finished, including the placement of 397 metres of new water‑service pipe. Additional activities include steel‑beam fabrication, excavation for support structures, and the laying of hydraulic concrete toward the city’s waste‑treatment site, bringing the total project progress to roughly 72 percent. Mayor Marco Bonilla reaffirmed the city’s commitment to modern, functional infrastructure that reduces commute times for residents.
