Chihuahua municipal government announces members of 2026 Youth Council

The municipal government of Chihuahua disclosed the young citizens selected to serve on the Cabildo Joven 2026 after a voting process overseen by the State Electoral Institute. The elected slate includes Diana Victoria Paredes Figueroa as President Municipal and Eduardo Antonio Perea Cobos as Síndico Municipal, alongside 20 councilors and 24 youth cabinet members. Vote totals were: green list 31, white 12, yellow 11, pink 11, purple 9, blue 7 and black 5.

Participants received training on municipal functions, attended workshops to form their lists, and listened to conferences on leadership and political communication delivered by municipal officials and local politicians. The Cabildo Joven program aims to boost youth civic engagement, develop leadership skills, and promote democratic values within the community.
