Chihuahua municipal government hosts back-to-school fair and launches discount program for 2027 participatory budget

On Saturday 15 August, the Municipal Government of Chihuahua, together with CANACO SERVYTUR Chihuahua and Plaza Sendero, organized a “Regreso a Clases” event at Plaza Sendero. The fair ran from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering special promotions, discounts, free haircuts by four barbers, a children’s entertainment show at 5 p.m., and consumer‑protection advice from PROFECO, aimed at helping families prepare for the new school year while stimulating local commerce.

The same municipal administration also opened registrations for the “Comercios Participativos 2027” program, inviting local shops and entrepreneurs to provide discounts or other benefits to customers who take part in the upcoming participatory‑budget consultation. Participating businesses receive an official badge and promotional support; the call for sign‑ups remains open throughout August.
