Chihuahua municipal government launches month-long seniors and youth celebration

The municipal government of Chihuahua, through its Directorate of Human Development and Education, organized a series of events for the "Month of the Grandfather" and the "Month of Youth" from mid‑August. Activities, held at venues such as the Casa de la Juventud, Plaza de Armas, and local community centers, include recreational, artistic, cultural and training programs – from photography courses and first‑aid workshops for young people to a megazumbatón, megalotería, bazaar and recipe contest for seniors. The program also features inclusion initiatives for people with disabilities and indigenous communities. Director Mario García explained that the aim is to recognize older adults, promote youth talent and foster inter‑generational and cultural cohesion in the city.
