Chihuahua Municipality Provides Ongoing Maintenance for Plaza de Armas

The municipal government of Chihuahua, through its Direction of Urban Maintenance, is carrying out permanent upkeep of the historic Plaza de Armas. Daily tasks include manual sweeping, pressure‑washing, mopping the marble floor, watering green areas, cutting grass, pruning vegetation, and caring for the plaza’s monuments.

Additional work involves installing new cement‑based bench backs with a cobblestone finish to improve durability and the overall appearance of the site. Officials say the effort aims to keep the central square clean, safe and welcoming for families and visitors, preserving a key element of the city’s identity.
