Chihuahua municipality upgrades La Cantera bike‑cross track

The Instituto Municipal de Cultura Física y Deporte (IMCFD) in Chihuahua is carrying out technical upgrades on the bike‑cross track at Parque Extremo La Cantera. Work includes laying a new asphalt layer, leveling the circuit, painting the start ramp, and assessing the adjacent skate‑board area for ramp improvements and rail replacements.

Project director Juan José Abdo Fierro warned that machinery and personnel will be present, urging cyclists and visitors to follow safety instructions, avoid the work zones, and take precautions while moving through the park. The facility, which hosts state and national competitions and trains athletes representing the municipality, is being maintained to support children, athletes, coaches and families who use it for training and recreation.
