Chihuahua opens final week to register for Cabildo Joven 2026

The municipal government of Chihuahua has announced that the registration period for the Cabildo Joven 2026 youth council program is in its final week, closing on 22 June 2026. The initiative, run by the Directorate of Human Development and Education and the Youth Services Sub‑directorate, targets residents aged 16 to 26 who wish to engage in local politics, propose community improvements and develop leadership skills.

Applicants must submit a two‑page original essay on why young people should be involved in municipal politics, along with the required documentation, either through the online portal https://bit.ly/4sBrUCJ or in person at the Youth Services office. Participation offers young residents the chance to dialogue with municipal officials, shaping proposals for a more inclusive city.

The full call for applications and detailed requirements are available on the municipal website.
