Chihuahua police arrest two suspects in separate robbery cases
Municipal police in Chihuahua, Mexico, detained a 30‑year‑old woman, identified as Zaira Nallely R. U., for her alleged role in a June 24 burglary of a home in the Paseo de los Leones IV Etapa neighborhood. The thefts included two laptops, an iPad, two cell phones and a motorcycle valued at about 87,500 pesos. The motorcycle was recovered during a search in the San Lázaro colonia, where the suspect attempted to flee at high speed before being stopped. She was placed in the custody of the public ministry for further investigation.
In a separate incident, a 69‑year‑old woman, María de Jesús P. A., was linked to a criminal process for aggravated robbery and identity fraud after attempting to steal goods from a Soriana Fuentes Mares store in Chihuahua. Security staff intercepted her as she tried to exit the premises, and subsequent investigation confirmed her true identity despite initial false names. She faces charges for the attempted theft and for using a false identity.
Both arrests underscore local law‑enforcement efforts to combat property crimes in the state of Chihuahua.
