Chihuahua police deploy new off‑road vehicles while a shooting victim is taken to hospital in Aldama

The Municipal Public Safety Directorate in Chihuahua has equipped its Rural Operations Group with four high‑performance RZR vehicles, additional pickup patrols and five dual‑traction quad‑bikes to improve emergency response, preventive patrols and rescues in difficult terrain throughout the municipality’s rural areas. The Polaris XP 1000 units feature four‑wheel drive, LED lighting, sirens and first‑aid training to reach residents and tourists in remote communities.

Separately, a man identified as Edgar Alexis P. C. arrived at the State Public Security Complex on the Chihuahua‑Aldama highway with a gunshot wound to his hand. After being secured by state police, he was transferred to a hospital in Chihuahua for treatment. Authorities recovered a short‑ and long‑range firearm in his possession and have placed him under investigation.
