Chihuahua prepares strategy to regulate school cell phone use

Authorities in Chihuahua are preparing a strategy to regulate the use of cell phones and electronic devices in schools. Roberto Anaya Moreno, the Undersecretary of Education and Sports for the Northern Zone, stated that the goal is not a general prohibition but rather the establishment of clear rules regarding when and how these devices can be used.

To address the tension between parents, who use phones for emergency communication, and teachers, who view them as classroom distractions, a forum will be held at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) on September 2. This event aims to gather input from parents, teachers, and the educational community to inform a national consultation on the matter.
