Chihuahua promotes industrial offerings to over 70 Taiwanese companies
The Government of Chihuahua, through the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), has concluded a series of four seminars in Taiwan titled ‘Invest in Chihuahua’. The initiative aimed to attract investment by presenting the state's industrial capabilities, export leadership, and specialized technical talent to more than 70 companies and institutions.
The delegation held strategic meetings with suppliers of major technology firms, including over 20 companies from Wistron, 25 from Pegatron, and 20 from Wiwynn. During these sessions, officials highlighted the advantages of operating from Chihuahua to integrate into North American supply chains under the USMCA framework, specifically mentioning the San Jerónimo Economic Development Pole and the Shelter model.
Between 2021 and the second quarter of 2026, Taiwan accounted for 5.7 percent of Chihuahua's accumulated foreign direct investment, totaling $401.7 million. These investments have primarily focused on computer system design services (58.4 percent), electronic component manufacturing (22 percent), and the production of computers and peripheral equipment (17.3 percent).
