Chihuahua promotes entrepreneurship and digital training
The Jornada Emprende 2026 event recently commenced at the Chihuahua Convention and Exhibition Center. Organized by Emprendelog A. C. in coordination with state and municipal governments, the two-day event features conferences, networking, and commercial exhibitions aimed at strengthening business capabilities and generating new opportunities.
Key speakers include investor Oswaldo ‘Oso’ Trava and financial education specialist Liliana Olivares. The event includes over 60 exhibition stands and seeks to connect established businesses with early-stage projects, with an attendance expectation of over 8,000 people.
In a parallel effort to support the local economy, the Chihuahua State Government and the Municipality of Chihuahua have signed a collaboration agreement to boost digital transformation and technological training. This initiative focuses on micro and small enterprises, targeting skills such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analysis, and digital marketing.
The agreement involves a combined fund of approximately 7 million pesos for training this year, supported by contributions from the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development and the Institute for Technological Development Support (Inadet).
