Chihuahua ranchers receive Presidential Medal for Livestock Merit

Álvaro Bustillos Delgado and Roberto Prieto Trejo (in memoriam) have been awarded the Presidential Medal for Livestock Merit 2026, the highest distinction in the Mexican livestock sector.

The awards were presented during the 90th National Livestock Convention held in Saltillo, Coahuila. The ceremony brought together federal and state authorities, along with representatives from the National Confederation of Livestock Organizations (CNOG).

The Regional Livestock Union of Chihuahua (UGRCh) recognized the honorees for their significant contributions to the livestock industry, rural development, and the economy of Chihuahua. A total of 22 producers and sector representatives received the medal, an honor established in 1940 to recognize excellence and leadership in national livestock production.
