Chihuahua reports 82 percent completion of free textbook distribution

The distribution of free textbooks in Chihuahua schools has reached 82 percent completion, with officials expecting to finish within 15 days. Roberto Anaya, the Undersecretary of Education and Sports for the Northern Zone, reported that the distribution for primary schools is nearly finished, while current efforts are focused on general and technical secondary schools.

Deliveries were previously delayed for two to three weeks due to heavy rains and flooding in late September. Anaya noted that water accumulation around the Servicios Educativos del Estado de Chihuahua (SEECH) warehouse hindered school access, though he clarified that the books remained in perfect condition as the water did not enter the storage area. Once secondary school distributions are complete, the process will move to preschool levels.
