Chihuahua municipal council offers up to 50% discounts on unpaid pavement fees

The Consejo de Urbanización Municipal (CUM) in Chihuahua launched the "Regularízate" program to regularize overdue payments for completed pavement works. With a delinquent portfolio exceeding 70 million pesos, the initiative provides a 100 percent discount on recargos and execution costs and up to a 50 percent discount on the original principal balance. The goal is to recover at least 20 million pesos for future infrastructure projects. Payments can be made at CUM offices, via bank transfers, OXXO stores, or through interest‑free installments with participating banks. The program runs until December 2027 and includes extended office hours and several payment channels. CUM manager Ricardo Santana Flores noted that the first month’s outreach to more than 2 000 households recovered about 1.2 million pesos.
