Chihuahua selects 204 youth for Cabildo Joven 2026

The Municipality of Chihuahua announced the results of its Cabildo Joven 2026 call for proposals, which ran from May 12 to June 22. A total of 204 young people, aged 16 to 26, met the requirements and were chosen.

Selection required an original essay answering why youth should engage in municipal politics. The Cabildo Joven programme will bring the participants to a series of trainings on personal image, political discourse, electoral processes and municipal council functions, held at the Casa de la Juventud. After the trainings they will be placed on internal electoral lists to begin the council’s internal election process. The full list of selected participants is available on the municipal government’s official social‑media channels.
