Chihuahua sends over 71 karatekas to World Shoto Cup

A delegation of more than 71 karate athletes from Chihuahua will represent Mexico at the World Shoto Cup, a karate world championship held in Mérida, Yucatán, from October 22 to 24.

This group constitutes the largest state delegation from Mexico for the competition. The athletes represent five different dojos: Dojo Okazaki, Dojo YMCA, Dojo Zenkai Casas Grandes, Dojo Henko, and Dojo Bodhidharma.

In preparation for the event, Dojo Okazaki held a ceremony on October 17 to deliver the official Mexican national team uniforms to the participants. The delegation's size and participation reflect the growth of Shotokan karate in the region under the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF).
