Chihuahua State Congress fails to hold commission meeting due to lack of quorum

Legislators in the State Congress failed to hold a meeting of the Joint Youth and Education Commissions for the second consecutive time due to a lack of quorum. Magdalena Rentería Pérez, a Morena deputy and sub-coordinator, criticized the absence of lawmakers, describing the situation as a snub to invited guests.

Representatives from the Instituto Chihuahuense de la Juventud and the Instituto Estatal Electoral had been summoned to participate in discussions regarding the approval of the 2026 Youth Parliament call. Rentería Pérez noted that despite the option to join virtually, the required number of deputies did not attend, suggesting that some members may still be on vacation or prioritizing other agendas over their legislative responsibilities.
