Chihuahua State Congress launches 2026 Sports Merit awards

The Chihuahua State Congress, through its Commission for Education, Physical Culture, and Sports, has launched the ‘Sports Merit Recognition 2026’ call for entries. The initiative aims to honor individuals or teams from Chihuahua whose athletic careers have benefited the state, the country, or international communities.

Winners in each category will receive a plaque and 30,000 pesos. The recognition covers several categories, including athletes, adapted sports, coaches, sports chroniclers, sports promoters, and judges or referees. To be eligible, participants must have a widely recognized state or national career and must not have previously received this specific recognition from the State Congress in the same discipline.

Proposals must be submitted by November 3, 2026, at 15:00 hours via email. Submissions must include a registration form, privacy notice, sports curriculum, and supporting documentation of the nominee's merits.
