Chihuahua State Congress suspends session over narcolaboratory inquiry
A session of the Chihuahua State Congress was suspended following a confrontation regarding the investigation into the dismantling of a narcolaboratory in El Pinal, Morelos. The conflict arose when the PAN party leader, Alfredo Chávez, requested the removal of a document from the agenda that sought to summon Governor María Eugenia Campos to clarify anomalies related to the case.
Members of the Morena party accused the PAN of censorship and a lack of transparency concerning the El Pinal incident and the detention of former prosecutor César Gustavo J. M. During the dispute, Morena deputy María Antonieta Pérez interrupted proceedings to protest, leading the board to declare a recess as conditions for continuing the session were not met.
