Chihuahua State Congress to launch 2026 Youth Parliament call

The United Commissions of Youth and Childhood and of Education, Physical Culture and Sport of the Chihuahua State Congress have approved the launch of the call for the 2026 Chihuahua Youth Parliament. The official announcement is scheduled for September 3 of this year.

The Youth Parliament will take place in October 2026. It will consist of 33 young participants: 22 elected from the state's electoral districts and 11 selected based on specific contest criteria. Selected participants will be notified via email by September 30, 2026.

To participate, applicants must be between 15 and 25 years old. Candidates are required to submit a proposal or stance focused on the State of Chihuahua that aligns with one or more United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, such as quality education, gender equality, or zero hunger. These proposals may be considered for inclusion in the legislative branch's public policies.
