Chihuahua State Health Secretariat reports 90 complaints

The State Health Secretariat (SSE) in Chihuahua reported receiving 90 complaints, reports, and denunciations between 2021 and August 2026. The information was provided by SSE head Gilberto Baeza Mendoza in a response to inquiries from Deputy Jael Argüelles of the Morena party.

The complaints involve various issues, including workplace violence, sexual harassment, sexual abuse, and retaliation. The complainants include doctors, residents, interns, employees, subcontracted staff, and patients.

Significant numbers of complaints were concentrated in specific facilities, notably the ‘Dr. Javier Ramírez Topete’ General Hospital in Cuauhtémoc with 20 cases, and the ‘Dr. Salvador Zubirán Anchondo’ hospital in Chihuahua City with 17 cases. Other reported locations include the Children's Hospital of Ciudad Juárez and several health centers across various municipalities such as Madera, Guachochi, and Delicias.
