Cuba celebrates 66th anniversary of Committees for the Defense of the Revolution

Various celebrations and recognitions are marking the 66th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) in Cuba. In Matanzas, a provincial gala held at the Teatro Sauto honored several individuals and local structures for their community contributions. The municipality of Matanzas and specific zones, such as the Dos de Diciembre neighborhood, were recognized for their outstanding performance in national emulation activities.

In the municipality of Tercer Frente, local authorities presided over a ceremony in Filé to honor community leaders and those contributing to food production through the ‘Cultiva tu pedacito’ program. The event highlighted the organization's role in maintaining social stability and community values.

Additionally, Cuban representatives in Panama held a commemorative event attended by social organizations and the Martiana Association of Cuban Residents. During the gathering, officials discussed the impact of economic measures on Cuban families and called for continued international solidarity.
