Chihuahua hosts major employment fairs and professional conferences

Various employment and educational initiatives are being held in Mexico and Uruguay. In Chihuahua, Mexico, the Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS) is hosting an inclusion employment fair at the EXPO Chihuahua convention center. The event features over 80 companies offering between 2,000 and 3,800 vacancies across sectors such as manufacturing, hospitality, health, and security. These roles are open to the general public and specifically target people with disabilities, with salaries ranging from approximately 9,500 to 60,000 pesos.

In Ciudad Juárez, the Universidad Tecnológica de Ciudad Juárez (UTCJ) held its Expo Empléate 2026, attracting 2,000 attendees and 25 companies. The fair offered roughly 500 vacancies in industrial, commercial, and service sectors to the general community.

Additionally, the La Unión Social de Empresarios de México (USEM) Chihuahua has announced a conference titled “El Sentido del Trabajo” (The Meaning of Work), to be presented by Farid Dieck on October 21 at the Hotel Sheraton Soberano. The event aims to foster reflection on professional purpose and leadership among business leaders and professionals.

In Tacuarembó, Uruguay, the Expo Educa 2026 brought together various educational institutions and youth organizations to present training alternatives to students and families, including new professional pastry and bakery programs from Instituto Crandon.
