Chihuahua tourism officials issue federal credentials to 25 guides in Creel
The Chihuahua State Government, through the Secretariat of Tourism, has issued federal credentials to 25 tourist guides in the Magic Town of Creel. This initiative follows the completion of a specialized training program titled ‘Diplomado de Formación de Guías de Turistas’ focused on the Creel–Sierra Tarahumara route.
Conducted in coordination with the Universidad Regional del Norte, the program provided specialized instruction in regional culture, history, gastronomy, and local attractions. The certification ensures compliance with the NOM-08-TUR-2002 guidelines, which establish requirements for guides specialized in specific activities. The goal of the training is to professionalize tourism services and enhance the visitor experience within the state of Chihuahua.
