Chihuahua universities to host free Juan Gabriel symphonic concert

The Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH), in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Chihuahua (COBACH), will present the free concert ‘Juan Gabriel Sinfónico’ on October 30 at the Arena Corner Sport.

The event features approximately 200 musicians, including the UACH Symphony Orchestra, the UACJ Symphony Orchestra, the COBACH Youth Symphony Orchestra, the UACH University Mariachi, the UACJ Canto a Mi Tierra Mariachi, and the UACH Symphonic Choir. The performance is part of the Encuentro de Orquestas 2026 and serves as a tribute to the late Mexican singer-songwriter, whose career was closely linked to Ciudad Juárez.

Organizers expect an attendance of roughly 2,300 people. Doors open at 17:00, with a pre-concert show starting at 18:00. Tickets can be obtained at various university locations and at the arena facilities.
