Crime reports: Fraudulent tire-change robbery in Mexico and armed theft in Chile

A woman in Chihuahua, Mexico, was targeted in a robbery at Plaza Saucito after withdrawing approximately 150,000 to 155,000 pesos from a Banorte branch in Plaza Cumbres. The perpetrator used a deceptive tactic, approaching the victim under the guise of helping her with a flat tire on her Chevrolet Silverado. While the man distracted the woman by inspecting the tire, he stole the cash from her bag. Authorities and the State Attorney General's Office are reviewing security footage to identify the suspect.

In Iquique, Chile, a man of Colombian nationality has been placed in pretrial detention following an armed robbery in the city center. The victim, a Bolivian national, was threatened by a group of four individuals who stole a bag containing 20,000 US dollars and 3 million Chilean pesos, along with other personal items. The suspect was apprehended by police after being found hiding in the ceiling of a residence.
