Chihuahua's Cabalgata Villista 2026 launches in Ciudad Juárez
The state government of Chihuahua, through its Secretariat of Tourism, took part in the start of the XXXI Cabalgata Villista 2026 in Ciudad Juárez. The horseback rally, one of the most prominent equestrian events in the state, is part of the International Adventure Tourism Festival (FITA). Participants will ride from the border to Rancho El 70 and continue through Villa Ahumada, Estación Moctezuma, Rancho Tinaja Lisa, Nuevo Delicias, Sacramento, the city of Chihuahua, Alamillo, Satevó, El Faro, Valle de Zaragoza, Sapién and Hidalgo del Parral, where a traditional closing parade is scheduled for 18 July.
Jorge Chávez, the state tourism representative for the Northern Zone, said the cabalgata strengthens Chihuahua’s historical identity and promotes tourism and economic activity. The previous edition attracted more than 9,300 riders and about 20,000 spectators, generating an estimated economic impact of 23.2 million pesos. The official FITA 2026 program is available online.
