Chiikawa Bakery launches limited-time pop‑up shop at Kyoto Station

The popular manga and anime franchise "Chiikawa" is opening a temporary pop‑up shop called "Chiikawa Bakery KYOTO POP UP SHOP" at the west‑exit of JR Kyoto Station. The shop operates from 13 August to 9 September 2026, offering exclusive bakery‑style goods and collaborations with the renowned Kyoto confectionery "Fuwafuwa Otabe".

Visitors can purchase the special "Fuwafuwa Otabe" caramel, three varieties of Chiikawa‑branded breads (honey‑sweetened, chocolate‑infused, and cheese‑flavored), and a range of original merchandise such as character‑themed bags, stickers, and collectible eco‑bags. Purchases of ¥2,200 or more include a limited‑edition Kyoto‑only shopper tag. The pop‑up also features themed cookies, candy‑filled pouches, and other souvenirs tied to the Chiikawa universe, which originated from illustrator Nagano’s X (formerly Twitter) manga and has been adapted into a TV anime and a feature film.
