Chișinău advances urban infrastructure and fitness projects

In Chișinău, several municipal and infrastructure projects are underway. Under the ‘Comfortable Courtyard’ program, the Chișinău City Hall has funded and completed a new fitness area in the Botanica district on Sarmizegetusa Street. The project includes the installation of modern exercise equipment, a prepared platform, and new access paths for local residents.

Separately, construction has resumed at the Atletmed National Center of Sports Medicine on Belinski Street. The project, which originated from a 2014 government decision to modernize medical infrastructure for athletes, has faced long delays. While some local residents express concerns regarding property rights and sunlight obstruction caused by the new building, others welcome the development, noting that the long-abandoned site had become an unsafe and unsightly area.
