Chișinău begins 28 million lei Ismail Street repairs

Infrastructure repairs are commencing on Ismail Street in Chișinău. The project covers the section between the Ismail bridge and Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt boulevard, extending toward Pan Halippa and Gheorghe Asachi streets. The works are estimated to cost approximately 28 million lei and are expected to be completed by November, weather permitting.

The rehabilitation project involves over 30,000 square meters of surface area. To minimize traffic disruption, much of the work will be conducted at night. Initial phases include removing the old asphalt layer to prepare for new application. While street repairs are underway, the Ismail bridge remains in the design and documentation phase, awaiting final government expertise and approval before a tender can be announced.
